Clinical information 

Mobile mammography: Central and northern Alberta 
A mobile mammography trailer will be stationed at:  

  • Aquatic Centre, 212 Fairway Dr. W., Claresholm, Dec. 7-11 
  • Nanton Baptist Church, 2410 26 Ave., Dec. 12 & 13 
  • Three Hills Health Centre (Hospital), 1504 2 St. N., Dec. 14-20 

Screening is available at no cost for eligible individuals, but appointments are required. Call 1-800-667-0604 to book an appointment or learn more about the program.

Regional Health Corridors 

Alberta Health has introduced seven regional health corridors, to reflect where and how Albertans are accessing health care. These corridors aim to help provincial health agencies respond to the needs of local communities.

New program helps physicians meet CPSA’s Physician Practice Improvement Program (PPIP) requirements 

A new program from the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine, SUPPORT for PPIP, aims to provide physicians a comprehensive package of self-guided online tools and webinars that will empower them with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to successfully navigate and fulfill the Physician Practice Improvement Program (PPIP) requirements.

What is MyAHS Connect?  

For community providers getting questions from patients about MyAHS Connect, here is some basic information. MyAHS Connect is a secure online tool that lets Albertans see some of their Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Recovery Alberta health information. To get access to MyAHS Connect, you need:

  • See personal health information including test results, immunizations, and medications  
  • See past and upcoming appointments  
  • See referrals  
  • Request prescription renewals (when prescriptions need to be filled or are expired)  
  • Send messages to and receive messages from your healthcare team  
  • Add images and documents to your record  
  • Access to trusted health information resources

Medical assistance in dying engagement  

Alberta Health is gathering feedback from Albertans on the medical assistance in dying (also referred to as MAID) processes and regulation in Alberta. Alberta Health wants to hear Albertans’ thoughts on possible changes to MAID processes, procedures, oversight, and protections.   

We Want to Hear from You: Share Your Experience with Hormonal Health 

The Alberta Women’s Health Foundation invites Albertans to participate in their anonymous survey to better understand the realities women face when it comes to hormonal health, including knowledge, experiences, and barriers to accessing contraception and reproductive healthcare. This short survey is open to everyone across the gender spectrum.
