Group Benefit Plans Available For NPAA Membership PLUS Tier
Beginning March 1, 2025, NPAA Membership PLUS holders will have access to group benefits coverage through RWAM Insurance.
We know small businesses struggle to secure group benefits, so we’ve partnered with Lloyd Sadd to offer comprehensive, cost-effective coverage for Membership PLUS, including long-term disability insurance.
Coverage for Individuals
Sole Nurse Practitioner
If your clinic does not meet the 2+ employees requirement for clinic coverage, or if you are a sole Nurse Practitioner, you are eligible for Plus Plan coverage through the NPAA-managed plan.
Enrollment in these plans provide access to comprehensive benefits. This plan may be a good fit if:
• You are a Nurse Practitioner seeking personal benefits coverage, regardless of whether you are part of an NPPCP.
• You work part-time and do not have access to employer-sponsored benefits.
• You have joined a clinic but only need insurance for yourself or your family, rather than enrolling in a clinic-wide plan.

Coverage for Clinics
Nurse Practitioner + Minimum One (1) Additional Staff
Your clinic may select one of three tiers of coverage, and the selected tier will apply to all eligible employees. As the employer, you will remit payment to RWAM Insurance for your covered employees each month. You may wish to recoup part of the cost of the benefits from your employees through an internal cost-share arrangement.
Coverage Requirements
• Coverage requires at least two (2) total employees, including a Nurse Practitioner.
• Employees working more than 20 hours per week must be enrolled in the clinic plan as a condition of employment.

Pricing varies based on salary and coverage amounts. The table below provides estimated monthly costs.
Please Note: LTD benefits are non-taxable if employees pay for coverage through payroll deductions.
Application Process
How to Apply
- Download and sign the Health Benefits Program Agreement.
- Review and agree to the Health Benefits Policy and Privacy Policy.
- Download and fill out the Application Form.
- Submit both the Program Agreement and Application via email to benefits@albertanps.com.
- Await confirmation. A representative will process your application and provide next steps.
