A Future Fit for Kids: Shaping the Children’s Care System in Canada
As Canada works to address the unique needs of its youngest generation, the time has never been more critical to focus on innovative strategies that drive measurable improvements in children’s health across the country. In our 16th Health Care Summit Series webcast, we will explore transformative approaches to enhancing children’s health outcomes. This session will examine the current challenges and opportunities in pediatric healthcare while articulating what elements of a future strategy are desired by the leading experts in the field. Today, 80 percent of Canadian children access pediatric care outside of Children’s hospitals, we will examine the future needs of the workforce and training required to be able to deliver this care across our vast landscape. The discussion will also address barriers to access and ways to foster collaboration across sectors to build a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive. Finally, we will hear about emerging technologies and innovation in the space of genomics and its role in the future of providing care to our youngest Canadians. Whether you’re a healthcare provider, policymaker, educator, or caregiver, this webcast will provide valuable insights into how we can collectively build a future fit for kids, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.
